The Panthers held off a fiesty Upper Darby squad to get win number 4 on the season. The girls played smart and under control throughout the match. Nicole Long had 5 aces, Stephanie Woolston added 3 aces and 15 digs and Kelly Scipione had 13 assists. The Panthers play Monday night at home at 7pm.

Game Recap

Caroline Weir scored at the 15 minute mark from a great ball threaded by Gabrielle Sowers to take the 1-0 lead. Outstanding play by the midfielders Rebecca Smith and Nikki Reh enabled the Panthers to win the middle of the field. Danielle Scott and Brianna Broccardi locked the quick forwards from Strath down on the outside. All around, it was hard fought and well deserved 1-0 win!

The Panthers lost a hard fought battle 3-1 at CB East on Tuesday. Lauren Yancer had 5 aces and 9 digs and Stephanie Woolston added 29 digs while Nicole Long led the way at the net with 14 kills. Kelly Scipione had 23 assists.

The William Tennent Panthers picked up a conference win vs an equally matched Central Bucks East team.

Jenna Rodebaugh (17 minute mark) and Olivia Miller (55 minute mark) both scored off of headers from Nicole Reh’s throw-ins.

Defensively, Liz Layer, Paige Schmidt and Brianna Broccardi had solid performances and minimized the scoring attack of Central Bucks East.

Game Recap

The William Tennent Girls Volleyball team turned in an outstanding effort on Monday night beating New Hope at home 3-1. The match was really tight and there was some fun volleyball between the two teams. Nicole Long, Shaina Gatton and Devyn Cobb each had 10 kills and Stephanie Woolston anchored the defense with 37 assists. The team defense was excellent and the girls really are looking more comfortable and confident. The seniors never quit or gave up on each other and they are making some good memories.

The William Tennent Panthers lost a hard fought battle to Pennsbury today 3-0. Our girls played extremely scrappy and it was the most consistent defense we played all year. Leaders were Kelly Scipione 14 assists. Stephanie Woolston 15 digs and Devyn Cobb with 8 kills. The girls play a doubleheader on Monday at home.

Meet Recap

The golf team wrapped up a successful week by taking on Upper Dublin and CR North on Thursday. Upper Dublin had to put up their best score of the year to narrrowly defeat the Panthers by 2 strokes. The Panther team made history by becoming the first golfers in school history to defeat CR North. Seniors Colin Walsh and Dan McCabe were their usual solid selves for the Panthers. Junior Ryan Foley and Sophomore Stephen Skiba also played well. The star of the match was Sophomore Charlie “Big Red” Molzahn, who clinched the match with a personal best 38.
