From Coach Murphy:
The indoor track regular season came to an end this weekend, and Tennent came through with another great weekend of results. For the 3rd week in a row, and 4th time this year, the team finished the weekend with over 10 PR’s. 9 on the boys side and 2 on the girls side.
Makala Hansen took 4th in the 3000m Friday night with a new PR of 10:58. Makala has recieved a medal in all of her races this indoor season. Her post season will start this Saturday, at the PTFCA Track carnival and next weekend at the Meet of Champions. Makala is in search of a state qualifying birth in both the Mile and 800m. She is 3 seconds off both times. Stay Tuned!
Joe Roller also will be extending his season this Friday night at the “Last Chance Meet” in hopes of qualifying for the Meet of Champions in both the 60m and 200m dash. Joe has hit the MOC 200m time this year, but needs to run it in a TFCAOGP meet. He is only .1 away from the 60m time.
Jason Vogt stole the show this weekend with the 6th best freshman time in the state in the 3000m. Jason ran a 9:43. He is only 2 seconds off of 3rd best time in the state, and 6 seconds off of #2.
