Panthers News · William Tennent Athletes to Play at the Collegiate Level


On Wednesday April 25, 2018, William Tennent recognized the following senior class student athletes who have committed to playing sports at the collegiate next year.  Congratulations!


Yusuf Aladinov

Sport: Football

College/University: Delaware Valley University

Yusuf was a 2 year varsity player for William Tennent football. He received Suburban One League Honorable Mention and was selected to play in the 2018 Bucks vs Montgomery All Star football game next month. Yusuf looks forward to continuing his education at Delaware Valley University next fall while playing football for the Aggies.   


Jakob Banks

Sport: Football

College/University: Albright University

Jakob played on the varsity football team for four years. During his senior year, he was selected as a team captain. Jakob considers all of his teammates part of his family…these relationships will never be forgotten. Now moving on to college at Albright College, he will be playing football and studying accounting.


Sean Bragen

Sport: Football

College/Univeristy: Susquehanna University

Sean’s fondest memories and greatest achievements as a Tennent athlete include: being selected captain of the football team, receiving 2nd team all-league twice, squatting over 450 lbs, and rushing and receiving over 2000 yards total for his career.


Kirsten Brasch

Sport: Swimming

College/University: Monmouth University

During her high school career, Kirsten was the captain of the swim team for two years.  She started seeing the bulk of her success in junior year. Kirsten placed in first and third at Suburban One League Championships, went to districts and was selected as student athlete of the month. She can’t wait to continue swimming for the next four years at Monmouth University.  Fly Hawks!


Emma Brodhag

Sport: Track and Field

College/University: West Chester University

Emma achieved the following highlights during her track and field career at William Tennent. As part of the 4×100 relay team she had the opportunity to run at District One championships in 2015 and 2017, as well as, run at Penn Relays in 2016, 2017, and 2018. In her sophomore year Emma earned second-team all-league and qualified for districts in long jump. As a triple jumper she earned first-team all-league in 2016 and qualified for districts in her sophomore, junior, and senior years. Most of all, Emma enjoyed the friendships, comradery, and interaction with her fellow teammates.



Devyn Cobb

Sport: Volleyball

College/University: Rutgers Camden

Over the four years Devyn played volleyball for William Tennent, she has made several accomplishments. In her sophomore year, she was awarded JV offensive player of the year. This gave her the confidence she needed to play varsity the next two years. She’ll never forget the moment when she hit a player from St. Basil in the stomach and hopefully she’ll have more moments like this in college (no injuries of course, just solid play!) This year she received an award for most blocks all season along with the X Factor award. All of the awards and achievements she has gathered have meant the world to her and will follow her through her college career


Greg Delgado

Sport: Baseball

College/University: Mercer County Community College

Greg is a four year varsity player for William Tennent. He has received Suburban One All League for his performances at 3rd base as well as hitting. Greg currently leads the Panthers with six home runs on this season.


Jackson Foster

Sport: Football

College/University: Albright

Jackson is a 2 time varsity letterman for the Football team and will be Attending Albright College playing Offensive Tackle. He will be entering undecided in Albright’s Alpha Program and will be looking to major in a business field and a minor in film.



Dennis Grabert

Sport: Soccer

College/University: Arcadia

Dennis has played soccer all 4 years at Tennent and was a two year varsity starter.  In his senior year, he was voted by his teammates to be captain of the team. He made third team all league in the Suburban One League and All-Intel team his senior year.  At Arcadia University, he intends on majoring in education.



William Hanratty

Sport: Soccer

College/University: Albright College

The highlight of Billy’s athletic career over the last four years has been the fact that he has played varsity for all 4 years. Billy is very proud to be attending college to part take in athletics as well as academics. He is happy to have met and had the opportunity to meet all of his former teammates as well as coaches. He considers his senior year as his best season in his career thus far.



Brandon Hefele

Sport: Soccer and Baseball

College/University: Kings

Brandon was a multi sport athlete during his athletic career at William Tennent. He earned varsity letters in football, soccer, and baseball during his junior and senior years. Brandon was selected as Suburban One All-League Honorable Mention during the 2017 soccer season for his performance as a goalie. He plans to play soccer and baseball at Kings College in the fall.


 Nicole Long

Sport: Volleyball

College/University: Rutgers Camden

Throughout her 4 years of high school, Nicole has had the amazing experience of playing on the women’s volleyball team.  During this time, she  received 2nd team all-league as a sophomore, 3rd team all-league as a junior, and 1st team all-league as a senior. Nicole was named captain of the varsity team this year. She led the team in kills and aces and was named MVP.  Nicole is thankful for her amazing teammates and sisters that she met along the way.


Ryan McEachern

Sport: Football

College/University: Widener University

Ryan has played football since the 6th grade. He played 3 years for the Bucks/Mont Saints and 4 years for William Tennent High School. As a senior, Ryan started all 11 games at defensive tackle where he recorded 12 tackles for a loss. After being recruited by several DIII schools he narrowed his choices to Moravian, Albright, and Widener. Ryan will be attending and playing football in the fall at Widener University.


Lynne O’Connor

Sport: Track and Field

College/University: Kutztown University

Lynne is a 13 time varsity letter athlete. Although she played four different sports at William Tennent she will be concentrating her efforts on track and cross country at Kutztown. During her career at William Tennent, Lynne was selected as team MVP her junior year for both track and cross country, was named team captain in 2017 and 2018, three time Meet of Champions qualifier, and two time district qualifier.



Sean Rahill

Sport: Track and Field / Cross Country

College/University: Holy Family University

Sean achieved a lot during high school. He has been consistently running for William Tennent Track and the Cross Country Team while achieving academic honors. Making varsity for all 4 years of track and cross country, his passion for running led him to be a 2-time state qualifier and suburban one all-league for cross country.  Sean was voted MVP for 2 years with cross country and also received the Panther award, which is someone who demonstrates leadership and the spirit of our school.

He will be attending Holy Family University and have been awarded an athletic scholarship.  Sean is planning to major is Biology and he looks to make a difference in this world by hopefully improving our environment.


Jared Sebzda

Sport: Soccer

College/University: Penn State Brandywine

Jared has played soccer since he was 4 years old and hs always loved the sport. He currently plays soccer for Continental FC, playing at the ECNL level. Jared was a 2 year varsity player and his favorite memory has to be the final game when the team played at Talen Energy Stadium. It was an incredible moment that was truly unforgettable. Jared will be attending Penn State Brandywine in the Fall as an undeclared major. He would like to thank coach Ingo, coach Nick, and Simon Robinson for all the time and effort they have sacrificed to make him a better player.


Randy Showmaker

Sport: Track and Field

College/University: Monmouth University

Randy has been a four year varsity track and field member.  He made first team all

league in the Suburban One league and placed 2nd at districts.  He placed at both the

indoor and outdoor State Championship meets and he is a national qualifier for both

indoor and outdoor.


Emma Stanfield

Sport: Basketball

College/University: DeSales University

Emma has played basketball since the age of 7.  She lettered in varsity all four years in

high school and made third team all league her senior year.  She made the all

tournament team two years in a row at the Holiday Tournament and at DeSales she

plans to major in Business Administration.


Mitchell Vierling

Sport: Football

College/University: Widener University

Mitchell has had a “roaring experience” during his 2 years with the William Tennent Panthers. Being named a captain his senior year was one his accomplishments. The single game record he broke during his senior year, was something that he credits his teammates for. The bonds and friendships Mitchell has made is something he is glad to be a part of. Mitchell would like to thank hs family, friends, and the coaches for a great 2 years at WT.



Colin Walsh

Sport: Golf

College/University: Indiana University of Pennsylvania

Colin’s four years on the Golf team was one of his best experiences so far. While making friends and bonds that will last a lifetime, Colin will always remember the van rides to away matches and talking on the ninth green watching the players hit up to the green. His senior season was his best year playing as he advanced to the PIAA District and State Championships. However, to him, the fun he had and friendships he made will always be the most important to him.  


Stephanie Woolston

Sport: Volleyball

College/University: Holy Family University

Throughout her four years at Tennent, Stephanie had the honor of playing on the girls varsity volleyball team for all four years. She learned how to become a leader and wasmade captain my senior year. Stephanie made 3rd team all league her senior year.  She was also the second player in William Tennent history to achieve 1,000 career digs. Rightfully so, she was named team MVP her senior year.
