DEBATE UPDATE

From Dr. Mooney and Mr. Berdnik:   Congratulations to the William Tennent High School Debate Team on another successful Southeastern PA Debate League playoff run!  Ethan Knox and Nick Simila captured 1st Place in Policy Debate for the second year in a row.  Ethan Baker was 2nd in Oral Interpretation of Literature, Juliana Whitley 4th in Dramatic Performance, and Olivia McLaughlin and Jessica Robison

Indoor Track – League Champion 2019

Congratulations to WTHS 9th grader, Makala Hansen.  She is the 2019 DVGTCA Indoor Track champion in the mile! Makala raced to a new PR of 5:18.51 and out kicked the 2018 National League XC champion at the finish.    Makala will be racing this weekend in the PTFCA State Championship at Penn State University. Rolling on to REGIONALS

From Coach Tocci:   Yesterday at the SOL Bowling Tournament, Tennent had 4 bowlers qualify for the March 1 Regionals in Lancaster. Ashley Kennedy, Lisa Roth, Jared Forcinito and Brent Kehoe all successfully finished in the top 15 (15 boy/15 girl qualifiers). Especially notable was Ashley’s 645 series, placing her second among all SOL female

From Coach Murphy: Joe Roller competed at the “Last Chance” meet on Friday night, and finished his season with 2 good races. Joe ran the 60m dash and the 200m. From Coach Murphy: The indoor track regular season came to an end this weekend, and Tennent came through with another great weekend of results. For the 3rd week in a row, and 4th time this year, the team finished the weekend with over 10 PR’s. 9 on the boys side and 2 on the girls
